audrey hepburn

Disregard what you've seen in those gap skinny jean commercials, b/c highwaters should not be synonymous with the name Audrey Hepburn.

kind of looks like an editorial from a fashion magazine.

LOVED this dress. Loved this part of My Fair Lady.

She looks really pretty here.

Had to show the dress again (:

love the yellow

For some reason, she appears in a tiara and a ball gown in pretty much every movie.

Vanity Fair

So the whole idea of this post was Reese Witherspoon in the movie Vanity Fair. I got a little sidetracked though, b/c pictures from the magazine kept coming up on google, and I couldn't resist. Then I thought of Emma and Pride and Prejudice (amazing novels, by the way), and I had to include them, b/c I love that kind of clothing. Oh and I would highly recommend the BCC version of Pride and Prejudice (Colin Firth is Mr. Darcy!).

Pre-hobo style, anorexia days.

I like the red dress.

Loved Jane's dress. And I'm glad that Jane is actually pretty (in the modern sense) in this version.

Once again, Jane's dress is pretty
(blond girl)

Emma!

Mr. Knightley (:

I love her hair!

This is one of my favorite scenes, purely b/c of her pink dress.

I love Felicity Huffman's shoes.

Reese Witherspoon, always adorable.

I love Sex and the City. I do not agree with some of their ideas (aka that all women in New York are sluts--yes, people like Samantha and Carrie are pretty skanky.), but I still love it. I did not always look at it as a beacon of fashion, however. First of all, all of Miranda's outfits were horrible. HORRIBLE. And sometimes Carrie's outfits were crazy. But somehow, her character was able to pull even the worst outfits off. Just goes to prove that attitude is intregral to wearing an outfit. In some ways, Carrie's outfits remind me of Chloe Sevigny. Maybe in person her outfits aren't as dismal. Anyways, here are some of my favorites.

LOVED this one.

I loved this outfit, and this part was amazing.

So Parisian and chic.

She wore the mickey tee with a blazer BEFORE it was in style (reminds me of Eva Mendes in Hitch)

Once again, she wore leggings before they were in style.

And this just proves the HORRIBLE OUTFIT thing. She looks like a nightmare from the 80's. It makes me shudder.

Carrie quit smoking eventually, right?
